| Gran Sabana is a plateau
of rolling savannas interspersed with rivers, forests, unexpected
and spectacular waterfalls and dotted
with table mountains “Tepuis”. The Tepuis are some of the
oldest geological formations on earth and this was the scenery that
inspired Conan Doyle to write his famous novel “the lost world”.
This land is home for the Pemon Indians who live in small communities
and practice farming, hunting and fishing.
Itinerary: Day 1: All day drive to arrive close to the beginning of Gran Sabana, we make several stops along the way to eat and to look at interesting stuff.
